Thanks to John Daly, WriteLife tech expert and author of the Sean Coleman thriller series, for talking with me about Grief Doodling: Bringing Back Your Smiles. John is an excellent reviewer—prepared, cordial, and an astute listener. I posted the interview on Facebook and Twitter. If you didn’t see it, follow this link now: https://writelife.com/interview-harriet-hodgson. To watch the book-trailer go to www.youtube.com and use the search words “Grief Doodling.”
I’m thrilled with the blog tour organized by 4 Wills Publishing for The Grandma Force. The week-long tour garnered many comments. Thanks to #RRBC and #RWISA members for sponsoring the tour. Here are some links to the book.

From My Window
Charter House (Mayo Clinic retirement living) officially opened its art exhibit at the end of February. I have 21 doodle art pictures in the exhibit. Many residents have asked me about doodle art, what it is, and how I do it. Comments about my doodle art range from “Wow!” to “I love the colors” to “They make me happy.” Residents gather in these chairs beneath my doodle art and across from other pictures. If I’ve made some people happy I feel like I’ve done something good.

The walls of my studio were bare after most of my pictures were transferred to the exhibit. Since I couldn’t stand looking at empty walls and protruding nails, I ordered more frames, did more doodle art, and hung more pictures. Yep, I’m addicted to doodle art and love it. The techniques I use are simple ones. All are described and illustrated in Grief Doodling.
Quote of the Month
Instead of a quote this month, I ask you to pray for Ukraine, its president, and its people. This is a humanitarian crisis and, no matter what your political views may be, every life is sacred. Stand with Ukraine!
